Outdoor Learning and Development

Excel Training & Development (ETD) has been conducting outdoor training and development programs for the past 15 years. Often in-house programs, training rooms and conference rooms are not conducive to effective learning as participants can still be interrupted and distracted by current work issues.

Our purpose built learning and development centre - Jorema Downs is located just one hour from Perth C.B.D in the Chittering Valley. Our 85 acre facility nestled within 1000 acres of established valley vegetation, comprises a purpose built convention centre, a 24 bed bunkhouse and homestead.

Our designed outdoor Learning and Development programs are unique, framed within the concept of experiential adult learning where by participant behaviours are open, respectfully discussed and “doing things new, different and better” is encouraged.

We do not conduct high rope Rambo activities, or activities that are designed to challenge participant’s physical prowess.

Jorema Downs can easily cater for groups of up to 150 participants utilizing the bunkhouse and tent facilities for overnight accommodation. Jorema Downs is available for use in conjunction with ETD delivering a learning and development program or as a standalone venue with either a catered or self catered option.
